I Want To Switch Off My Engine After
Compression
I ENTERED INTO YOUR HEART
BY THE SUCTION OF YOUR EYES
OUR LOVE COMPRESSED US AND
MADE AS TO FIRMLY MIXED TOGETHER
UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS A SPARK
FROM YOUR PARENTS
THEY COLLAPSED YOUR HEART
BY PRODUCING SMOKE USING THEIR POWER
NOW. YOU FORCED TO EXHAUST ME
FROM YOUR HEART!!!
THAT IS WHY I WANT TO SWITCH OFF
MY ENGINE AFTER THE COMPRESSION.

3D PRINTED LATTICE DESIGN FOR FRACTURE - OSTEOID
3d printed medical cast could help bones to heal up to 40 per
cent faster.
The black cast, known as the Osteoid, uses an ultrasound system
which makes bones heal more quickly.
With a lattice pattern, it is filled with ventilation holes which mean
it does not smell or itch- unlike traditional casts.
The cast is combined with a low intensity pulsed ultrasound
system, known as LIPUS, for 20 minutes a day, which will reduce
the healing process of fractures by up to 38 per cent.
The system could also increase the healing rate of 'non-union'
fractures, in which the bones have shown no improvement in
three to six months, by up to 80 per cent.
BAGHDAD BATTERY: Ancient Technology in Electroplating
Electrochemical cells have been in use longer than what was once
thought. Discovered in Khujut Rabu of modern day Iraq and dating
from the Parthian (250 B.C.-A.D. 224) and Sassanid (A.D. 224-600)
baghdad battery periods, the Baghdad Battery is the first known
battery in the world. Consisting of a copper cylinder, an iron rod,
an asphalt stopper, and a small earthenware jar, the Baghdad
MECHANICAL ENGG MAGAZINE
Battery was filled with an
unknown electrolytic solution
and may have been used for
electroplating.
About 2000 years later the
Voltaic Pile, a stack of individual
cells of zinc and copper disks immersed in sulfuric acid, was
created by the Italian Count Volta and effectively replaced the use
of the Leyden Jar, an instrument that stored static electricity for
future use. Volta's battery is considered the first electrochemical
cell and the reaction for which is as follows:
Oxidation half-reaction: Zn Zn2+ + 2ereduction half-reaction: 2H+ + 2e- H2

FLAT TIRE
Having a tire puncture or blow out at
high speed can be dangerous. Any
puncture is inconvenient, and changing
a wheel can be difficult in some
situations and impossible for some
drivers.
Run flat tyres promise a solution to these Problems after getting
a puncture, they allow you to carry on driving for up to 50 miles at
speeds
of
up
to
50mph.
A standard tyre will crumple immediately if it is deflated, leaving
the
tyre
unusable
and
possibly
damaged.
Run flat tyres do not do this. They remain correctly shaped and
usable by having very strong, stiff sidewalls that can support the

weight of the car, even when the tyre is not inflated.

Do you know when water freezes to ice it expands 10% :
Water has curious thermal properties.
It contracts (gets denser) as it cools
down just like other materials.
However, at 4 degrees Celsius, it
reaches the maximum density of 1
and then starts expanding if it is
further cooled. Ice formed at zero deg
Celsius is actually less dense than
water
and
floats
on
it.
When water is completely filled in a tightly closed pipe or bottle
and placed in a freezer it freezes but also increases in volume and
because of its increased volume the pipe or bottle would broken.

illusion, two circles (ORANGE color )of
identical size are placed near to each
other, and one is surrounded by large
(BLUE) circles while the other is surrounded by small (BLUE)
circles. As a result of the juxtaposition of circles, the central circle
surrounded by large circles appears smaller than the central circle
surrounded
by
small
circles.

MCGURK EFFECT
The McGurk effect is a perceptual phenomenon
that demonstrates an interaction between
hearing and vision in speech perception. The
illusion occurs when the auditory component of
one sound is paired with the visual component of
another sound, leading to the perception of a third sound. The
visual information a person gets from seeing a person speak
changes the way they hear the sound.

ROTOR SHIP
MECHANICAL ENGG MAGAZINE
A rotor ship, or Flettner ship, is a ship
designed to use the Magnus effect for
propulsion. To take advantage of this
effect, it uses rotorsails which are
powered by an engine. The Magnus
effect is a force acting on a spinning
body in a moving airstream, which
acts perpendicularly to the direction of the airstream. German
engineer Anton Flettner was the first to build a ship which
attempted to tap this force for propulsion.

Success
The man who makes a success of an
important venture never wails for the crowd.
He strikes out for himself. It takes nerve, it
takes a great lot of grit; but the man that
succeeds has both. Anyone can fail. The
public admires the man who has enough
confidence in himself to take a chance. These
chances are the main things after all. The
man who tries to succeed must expect to be
criticized. Nothing important was ever done
but the greater number consulted previously
doubted the possibility. Success is the
accomplishment of that which most people
think can't be done.
