people that gives as the strength and encouragement during the conduction of this
research.
The researchers was very thankful in Almighty God because they guide us in every
time where we us. The researches would like to thankful also to all faculty members of
ULHS-PALUSAPIS especially to Mr. John Paul Santos that always gives his time in
editing and giving suggestion to the paper, as well as his unlimited effort in reminding us
deadline and passing dates if this research. For sharing knowledge to teach us how make
research as well and how to approved this study.
The researchers would also like to thank to the Grade 9 Students in Agricultural
Science and Technology School (2014-2015) for their participation in this study as the
respondents. And to our dear friends that always there to help us, giving positive side to
finish this study and make us to become happy in every time. And for our loving parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Armando Cuenca Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Larry Evardoni and Mr. and Mrs.
Ernesto Sarmiento that gives us all the support we need, financially and love.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
The second author was born on March 21, 1998 at Barangay Palusapis, Science
City of Muoz, and Nueva Ecija.
He was the only son of Mr. Larry Evardoni and Mrs. Noraida Evardoni. He has
two sisters named Jhezle Evardoni and Kathreen Evardoni.
He finished his elementary level in Palusapis Elementary School. Now, he was in
fourth year high school at the University Laboratory High School (ULHS) - Palusapis,
S.Y. 2014-2015.
After he finished his study, he wants to graduate successfully in Philippine
Military Academy.
He believes that if we give our best in something we love well enjoy the
victories from the bottom of our heart.

A day of January 19, 1999, a healthy baby girl was born named Kathryn DC
Cuenca. She was a daughter of Mr. Armando Cuenca and Evangeline Cuenca. She has
three sisters Kristyl, Kizzandra and Kelly Anne and one brother namely John Lloyd
Cuenca. They have simple but happy life.
She was finished her elementary education at Palusapis, elementary school and
graduated with honors S.Y. 2010-2011.
At early age starts dreaming to become a successful policewoman in the future.
As a simple hardworking students, she continued her secondary education at University
Laboratory High School-Palusapis were her good personality and character molded.
She believes in saying Life is like riding bicycle. To keep your balance, you
must keep moving.

The last author was born on August 26, 1998 at Barangay Palusapis, Science City
of Muoz, and Nueva Ecija.
He is the second child of Mr. Ernesto A. Sarmiento and Mrs. Elizabeth S.
Sarmiento. She has a sister named Lovely, a twin baby sisters named Jasmine and
Yasmine, and brother named John Lester.
She finished his elementary level in Palusapis Elementary School. Now, he was in
fourth year high school at the University Laboratory High School (ULHS) - Palusapis,
S.Y. 2014-2015.
After she graduates, she wants to be a successful Nurse someday.

City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.

This study was conducted in order to understand how students motivation is
influenced by their behavior. This study was conducted to determine what the sociodemographic characteristics of the grade are 9 students school year 2014-2015 in terms of
gender, monthly income, parents educational attainment, and size of the family.
It also aims to know the level of motivation of the grade 9 students in English;
this study also determined the academic performance profile in English of the grade 9
students and to know the relationship of between motivation and academic performance
of the grade 9 students in English.
A total of 27 grade 9 students S.Y. 2014-2015 were chosen to participate in this
study. The distribution of the total sample consisting of 9 female and 18 male grade 9
students for the whole school year. Respondents were from the Agricultural Science and
Technology School.
Sources of data for this study came from school registrar from GPA, students
responses to the questionnaire which consist of 2 parts the socio-demographic
characteristics of the respondents and the English motivation inventory. Data were

tabulated, interpreted and analyzed using frequencies, percentages, mean standard
deviation and Pearson product correlation.
