Based on the different contract procurement method given, each group is required to produce in Microsoft Power Point slides which explaining: 1. Introduction (e.g. nature of Malaysian construction contract, definition, etc) [5 Marks] 2. Explain the contract comprehensively: a. Contract between whom? b. Explain with any example of structure/chart/diagram showing the contract relationship between parties. c. Example of construction project using this procurement method (any case study?) d. Procedure/Process/Flow of this contract procurement e. Advantages and Disadvantages (can compare with other contract) f. Other info [50 Marks] 3. What are the Contractual Pricing Arrangement suitable for this type of contract? a. Fixed price type of contract (see below*); or b. Cost reimbursement type of contract (see below**); or you have strong justification to say any of above also suitable? *Fixed price type of contract a. Lump sump contracts with bill of quantities (BQ); or with drawings and specifications. b. Measure and value contracts a bill of approximate quantities; or a schedule of prices. c. Submission Format [10 Marks] in Power Point Slides Group Work: 5 persons per group In point form, not paragraphs / essays. Background: WHITE Font type: Arial, size 20, single spacing. Slides: minimum 24 slides do not exceed than 32 slides (including reference slide). Hardcopy Print setting: Handouts 4 slides per page, Landscape orientation. Example: Softcopy CD (no virus guaranteed) *Hardcopy & Softcopy Write group no., members name, and title of assignment. Submission date: by Dec 24th, 2013, inside the box in front of my room (1st Floor, CoERE office), before 12 noon.
