PAMC 2013 Report Form Field

This document contains instructions and a form for compiling the Pennsylvania Annual Migration Count. Volunteers are asked to record the number of individual species observed, as well as details about the observation parties such as number of participants, start and stop times, and hours and miles spent observing on foot, by car, or by other means of transportation. The compiled data is used to track annual bird migration patterns in Pennsylvania counties.

PAMC Report Form Instructions


1. Fill in the Year, County, and Compiler Name 2. Fill in the number of each species. 3. For species not on the list, fill in the species name and number. 4. Enter the number of participants. 5. Enter the number of Parties. Ie. If there was one group of 2, 3 groups of individuals, and one group of 3, then there would be 5 Parties. A feederwatcher location, regardless of the number of people doing the watching, counts as one party. 6. Enter the earliest Start Time by any group. 7. Enter the latest Stop Time by any group. 8. Enter the number of Party-Hours on Foot. Ie. Using the example above... Group #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 Participants 2 1 1 1 3 Foot Hours 8 7.5 4 6 8.5

Total Foot Party-Hours = 34 9. Do the same for Party-Hours by Car. 10. Do the same for Party-Hours by Other means of transportation (feederwatching, boat, bicycle, etc.). It is not necessary to specify. 11. Enter the Total Part-hours. 12. Enter Party-Miles on Foot. 13. Enter Party-Miles by Car. 14. Enter Party-Miles by other (feederwatching is always 0 miles). 15.
