Materials Structure

Made of class E1 ( 8 mg./100g., EN 120/95 standard) gauged wooden particle panels (UNI EN 309), waterproof type (V 100), thickness18 mm., coated in cellulose-backed, scratchproof material (UNI 9427/87) available in different colours. The details are edged with 0.4 mm thick melamine edges, bonded with polyurethane glues (hygro-reactive and heat-resistant). The front side is edged with a dust-proof and sound-proof thermoplastic material. Backs made of 3 mm thick, melamine-coated wooden fibre. Shelves Available in 18 mm thick veneered wood, with safety-type ABS edges, having the same features as the main frame, in 8-mm-thick polished glass or in flush-mounted chrome-plated metal. All shelves are secured with a locking system (UNI EN 1153). Drawers With stainless steel side frames and backs and totally extractable slides. Provided with a safety mechanism to prevent them from involuntarily coming off. Bottom made of veneered wood particle panels. Tested for an overall weight of 35 kg, Available in different depths. Baskets Same features as the drawers, but with raised side frames. Slides tested for loads up to 50 kg are available on request. Hinges 100% steel, can be snap mounted, adjustable in the three dimensions, with opening angles between 110 and 165 depending on the use. Guaranteed for 200,000 openings. Shelf supports Made of steel and moulded ABS, and protected by an aluminium cover. Tested by CTBA (France) and LGA (Germany), they can bear loads up to 130 kg. The shelves are secured to the wall by steel shelf-holding bars, secured by pressure plugs. Bases/feet Satin-finished anodised aluminium, with glossy finishing or plastic support coated with cellulose-backed material in solid colours or wood finishing. Provided with rubber gaskets to stick to the floor. The feet have different heights (H 120 - 150 - 180 mm.) and are composed of an ABS base pressed into the bottom of the box, and by a quick-connect foot, totally made of galvanised metal. Base/column supporting bridges The base on which the units rest is made of satin-finished anodised aluminium sections (40x40). Height and depth adjustable to suit different uses. Laminated top Made of class E1, V 100 (DIN 68763), water-repellent wooden particle panels and coated in scratchproof and heat-resistant HPL, it is available in different versions: after-moulded in the front or with no-drip edge, th. 40 mm. edged on the front side with cherry wood and canaletto walnut wood blocks, th. 60 mm. edged on the front side with laminated beech or cherry wood, th. 40 mm. edged on the front side with satin-finished aluminium no-drip edge, th. 30 mm. edged on the front side with satin-finished aluminium edge th. 60 mm. Marble and granite top Natural materials available in 30 mm thickness, with special surface treatments for protection against acids, oil or other; but, since marble is mainly made of calcium carbonate, it is vulnerable to weak acids and soaks up liquids, so the treatment has to be repeated from time to time for better surface protection (see Pedini users manual). Stainless steel top Made of 18/10 AISI 304 satin-finished or glossy stainless steel plate, thickness approximately 1 mm, backed by a class E1 wooden particle panel (EN120). Depending on the type of finishing, it is available in different appearances, i.e. different thickness (30 - 60 - 80 - 96 - 180 mm.), and also with built-in sink and stove.

Materials

Multi-layered wooden top Material obtained from the splitting of wood into thin layers, that are then glued and pressed to obtain boards; the boards are then submitted to a special process to obtain 30 or 40 mm thick worktops. They are then painted (with 100% non-toxic acrylic paints) to provide excellent chemical-mechanical surface protection as well as to enhance their natural beauty. Available in beech, cherry or oak wood. Marine multi-layered top Made of wood-based panels composed of 3 or more wood layers put one on top of the other through straight-angle fibre between adjacent layers and coated in scratchproof and heat-resistant (high pressure laminate) HPL. Edges painted in beech- or cherry-finish acrylic paints. Quartzite top Mixed material made of polyester resins and quartz fragments, available in different colours and backed by wood particle panels, total thickness 30 mm. Laboratory tested for hygienic use in the kitchen. Synthetic top Non-toxic mixed material made of thermosetting resins and mineral fillers. It is mass coloured so any accidental scratch or cut can be removed with abrasive cleansers. The sinks and splash guards can be died in one unit to obtain a perfectly hygienic top.

Shelves Available in laminate, lacquer, multi-layered wood, veneer or steel: Laminate shelves have the same features as the worktops; the only differences are that in this case thickness is 28 mm and the side edges are made of 2 mm thick ABS. Lacquered shelves are made of 28 mm thick (medium density fibreboard) MDF panels, lacquered with non-toxic polyurethane paints. Multi-layered wood and steel shelves have the same features as the worktops, the only difference is that in this case thickness is 28 mm. Veneered shelves made of wooden particle panels coated in cherry planed veneer painted with acrylic non-toxic paints (thickness 28 mm). Laminate-coated door Made of class E1 gauged wooden particle panels, coated in HPL, scratchproof finishing,, hot bonded with vinyl glues. Wings are finished on the 2 vertical sides with a15/10 thick ABS coloured edge and in the horizontal sides they are full-radius after-moulded (r = 9,5 mm.). Wing total thickness 19 mm. Lacquered door Made of 19 mm thick MDP panels, painted in polyurethane paints with mat, microsphere or brushed glossy finishing; in the latter case, the edges are also brushed. Glass door Frame made of aluminium sections, chemical 0 finishing (satin finishing). The 4-mm-thick acid-finished glass is tempered for higher safety in the event of breakage. Handle This version does not use handles in the bases, since handles are replaced by satin-finished aluminium grooves running all through the kitchen; The columns are available with flush-mounted handles (made of satin-finished die-cast mazak) or bridge-like tubular handles available in satin-finished aluminium with centre distance 224 mm.

Maintenance and cleaning Pedini has prepared a users and maintenance manual both for the kitchens they manufacture and the accessories they sell. The manual is supplied free with the kitchen, along with the warranty and a cleaning kit. Environment When the product is no longer in use, do not throw it away but contact the municipal urban solid waste disposal company to carry it to a waste disposal site or for reuse. Household appliances Carefully follow the prescriptions provided by the manufacturing houses in their manuals.
