Important Dietary tips
Take at least three meals a day on time If you are taking insulin then you may need a refreshments once or twice between meals Take a plenty of water 6-8 glass per day especially before meal Take fresh fruits and vegetables but avoid juices Avoid sugar and all sweets Exercise must be your daily routine If you are obese and overweight then you must reduce the fats from your food Excessive use of fried and fatty food should be avoided In case of high blood Cholestrol level the white meat should be used instead of red meat Chicken can be taken without skin and extra fats

Milk and dairy products without fat around 250gm Meat and pulses ( 3 ounces of cooked lean meat, fish or chicken - half cup of pulses) Bread: 3 chapatis (South Asian bread) or 6 slices of backed bread Vegetables: 3 cup raw and uncooked or one and half cup of cooked vegetable Fruit: 2 in a whole day Oil: 3-4 tea spoon in whole day Fiber: It is generally recommended to have 5 portion of fiber-rich fruits and vegetables a day.
