Other Members of The Solar System

All planets except Mercury and Venus have natural satellites orbiting them, with Earth's being the Moon. Asteroids are rocky objects that orbit the Sun in a belt between Mars and Jupiter. Comets are small pieces of ice and dust that orbit the Sun in long ellipses and become visible when entering the Solar System. Meteoroids are small pieces of rock floating in space, with some burning up in Earth's atmosphere appearing as meteors.
