The nursing care plan assessed the client's acute pain related to infection, set goals to minimize pain through vital sign monitoring, pain medication, and stress reduction. Interventions included pain assessment, anticipating pain medication needs, eliminating stressors, encouraging activities and relaxation, and ensuring adequate rest. The client's pain was able to be controlled after 8 hours of nursing intervention.
