HOUSE CO-SPEAKERS ANNOUNCE 2011 SESSION
COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
COMMITTEES TO OPERATE UNDER HISTORIC CO-GOVERNANCE MODEL
SALEM—House Co-Speakers Arnie Roblan (D-Coos Bay) and Bruce Hanna (R-Roseburg) today
announced committee co-chairs and membership for the 2011 legislative session.
Under the co-governance model adopted by the House of Representatives earlier today, House
committees will have two co-chairs and two vice-chairs, one from each party. Co-chairs will work
together to develop committee work plans and must agree on agendas set by their respective committees.
Committees will organize on Wednesday, January 12, with short meetings held only for the purpose of
introductions and adoption of committee rules. Committee meetings will begin when the regular session
convenes on February 1.
