The masthead is usually at the top of the


page because people read from the top of the page and down. Also when they are in shops you usually have other magazines in front of
another with just the title showing this is why it has to be eye catching and bold. Big and bold: this is to grab your attention and make sure
it’s always easy to see. The golden colour is to probably show its expensive and not a cheap magazine (gold like money)? The connotations
of that word is to make the magazine sound more glamorous, Plus Elle is a French word which means women this shows that they want to
show of the women’s beauty and focus on the fashion of women more than men.
