Firmware Upload Methods PDF

To update the firmware to version 2.31, download and extract the accompanying zip file to your computer. Then, copy the firmware file to a USB stick and insert it into the instrument, selecting Tools and Load FW from the menu. Alternatively, open FlexOffice software, pair the instrument via USB or serial port, go to Tools, Software Upload, and follow the on-screen instructions to upload via the computer. Be sure the battery is at least 75% charged before beginning the upload process.

To upload the new v2.

31 firmware:
Download the accompanying FW 2.31, 15-12-10 zipped file.
Extract the files from the zipped folder, and save them to your
computer.

For instruments with a USB-comms side cover:


Copy the FlexField_EDM.fw file into the SYSTEM folder on a
USB stick.
Put the USB stick into the instrument, and turn it on.
Select Tools from the MAIN MENU.
Select Load FW from the TOOLS MENU
NB:
FW is only an option on the TOOLS MENU for those instruments
fitted with a Communication side cover.
Never disconnect the power supply during the system upload
process. The battery must be at least 75% capacity before
commencing the upload.
For instruments without a USB-comms side cover:
Once the files have been saved, open FlexOffice.
At this stage it is recommended to pair the instrument to
the computer via Data Exchange Manager, selecting the
correct com-port and ensuring the device is recognised.
Then, Tools, Software Upload, select USB or a
com-port (whichever cable you are using).
