Manually-Operated Emergency Universal Mobile Phone Charger

ABSTRACT
Mobile phones are wonderful inventions and are highly used in the modern days. It is
also convenient to human beings. The battery in the mobile phone made it possible for the device
to be portable. The charger being sold together with the mobile phone charges energy in the
phones battery for storage. However, the charger isnt convenient without any electrical source
like outlets. It cannot charge outdoors or during emergencies. The researches invented the
Manually-Operated Emergency Universal Mobile Phone Charger. This device charges a phone
using manual operation. When you wind its handle, it produces energy to charge the battery. To
make the device, it will need the following materials: motor head of ceiling fan, diode, 2 types
of capacitor, voltage regulator (IC7805), 10 in 1 USB charger, female USB cord, customized
box, switch, (green and red) LED lights, 6 volt rechargeable battery and handle for winding. The
device was designed to charge energy in a mobile phone manually for emergencies and other
usage. Upon conducting the experiments, the researchers found out that it is able to charge
energy in some selected mobile phones based on the test conducted, when it is attached to the
device. It can charge a maximum of two selected cellular phones at a time also based on the test
conducted. It also turned out to be handy because a handle is attached, for convenience in
carrying around. The researchers conclude that the Manually-Operated Emergency Universal
Mobile Phone Charger is useful during emergencies.
