Community Meeting Regarding Alton Gas

Dear Sipeknekatik Band Members,


As you are aware issues surrounding the Alton Gas project has been causing concerns for our band and
community members. The Chief and Council have made a strong commitment to do whatever it takes to
protect our environment. We believe the Alton Gas project could have a detrimental impact on our
Shubenacadie River. Before we move forward with any other action items, Sipeknekatik Chief and
Council need to hear from our band members. The band would like some feedback surrounding next steps
to be taken. There will be no agenda for this meeting; rather we would like to hear general comments and
concerns. The meeting will take place:
Date: FEB 2, 2016
Place: St Kateri Tekekwitha (CHURCH BASEMENT)
Time: 4:30PM-7:00PM
Dinner and refreshments will be provided.
