1. .School Meals
Council and classes discussed how they could encourage more children to eat school meals. These are
some of the ideas...
3SHtry different things on the menu that children may prefer. Different recipes, more gravy on the
roast
5FT & 4AS liked own food from home, not sure how to encourage more people to eat dinners
1AC - talk to friends and tell them how nice the dinners are.
1SS tell people to visit the salad bar
2MRhave pictures and writing on the menu outside the serving hatch
2. Budget
The new budget for April 2015April 2016 was shared with school council. We are always keen to
purchase new items and to do so we need to raise money. Please discuss fundraising ideas in your
classes and bring ideas to the next council meeting.
Some of our ideas so far are... Competitions, talent competition, bingo, film night
REMEMBER TO COME ALONG TO THE SUMMER FAYRE AND HELP RAISE LOTS OF
MONEY FOR THE SCHOOL!
3. Physical Contact
School council thought about the issues around physical contact at playtimes and thought that we
could make some posters about this. We also thought about how important it is to report physical
contact to an adult if we are unable to deal with these issues ourselves.
3. A.O.B. (any other business)
These are the things we discussed in school council, please talk to your classes about
these and make a note of any other issues.
Groups of children leaving other people out and causing arguments.
Can the goals from the MUGA go back into MUGA and can we have cones as the goal posts on the
field?
Removal of KS1 playground itemswhen will this happen?
Dangerous walking on the seats of the KS2 hutsitting only in the hut.
More permenant structures on KS1 playground. It was felt unfair that KS2 had these but KS1 did not.
Pump up balls in playgrounds and retrieve these from the roof of the school.
Marks on field for football keeps rubbing off. Is there anything that can be done?
