Through observation, participation, completion of tasks I will be able to gage the classes understanding of the topic. During the lesson I
will also ask for thumbs up, to the side or down for a quick pulse of the class.

2. INTRODUCTION OF NEW MATERIAL

-TW introduce /or/ spelled -or and -ore in this weeks spelling words.
-Teacher and Students will finger spell the words or tap them.

3. GUIDED PRACTICE/EXPLORATION/ACTIVITY (20 min.)


-Teacher and students will popcorn read Sid Scores.
-TW introduce robust vocabulary and put into a sentence to give it
meaning.

4. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE (35 min.)


-TW ask students to identify the bossy r words and discuss identify
animals from Land of Ice and the adaptations they make to live in the
land of ice with their partner.
-TW tell students that they will need to sort the bossy r words into two piles of or /ore
words. Then you will need to record your answers on the recording sheet and glue them
in the correct column.
5. CLOSING (10 min.)
-TW have students write a sentence using one of their spelling words and
highlight the bossy r word or words they used and stick it to our "what
stuck with you" board after they share with the class.

- SW make Bossy R necklace.


-SW practice writing these words on wipe
boards.
