Overview

Viral hepatitis is a global health problem that affects hundreds of millions of children and adults. Although multiple viral pathogens have been associated with hepatitis, three in particular hepatitis A, B, and C are responsible for the majority of virally-linked hepatitis cases. Hepatitis D and E infections are also important, although not as commonly diagnosed. Originally known as "serum hepatitis",the disease has caused epidemics in parts of Asia and Africa, and it is endemic in China Hepatitis B is an infectious inflammatory illness of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus(HBV) that affects hominoidea, including humans. Many viruses, for example, the virus of mononucleosis and the cytomegalovirus can inflame the liver. Most viruses, however, do not attack primarily the liver; the liver is just one of several organs that the viruses affect. Those at risk for viral hepatitis include workers in the health care profession, people with multiple sexual partners, intravenous drug abusers, and hemophiliacs (a group of hereditary genetic disorders that impair the body's ability to control blood clotting or coagulation, which is used to stop bleeding when a blood vessel is broken). Blood transfusion is a rare cause of viral hepatitis. Base on our patient, patient manifest rebound tenderness, acute pain in right lower quadrant even this manifestation related to his appendicitis because he has also appendicitis, jaundice, weight loss, anorexia, and slight vomiting. The virus transmitted by exposure to infectious blood, body fluids such as semen and vaginal fluids, and in our assessment according to him he has a girlfriend and they engage to sexual intercourse already. According to him they dont have any history of hepatitis B. he dont have undergone any blood transfusion also. since this disease is the main caused by body fluids then there is big possibility that he get that kind of disease in his present girlfriend.
