CDS Awareness in Eclerx Employees

The questionnaires were distributed to employees of Eclerx Services Limited to assess their awareness of Credit Default Swaps (CDS). The analysis found that: 1) All 30 employees surveyed were aware of CDS. 2) 77% believed CDS are used for hedging risks. 3) Most employees (18) believed CDS have increased corporate costs due to higher default rates, while some (9) believed costs decreased. 4) Most employees (25) viewed CDS as a form of insurance for investors.

FINDINGS Analysis of data The questionnaires were distributed to various employees including the senior analysts, the process

manager, associate process managers, etc. of Eclerx Services Limited, Airoli branch for the purpose of finding out the perceptions of the employees regarding the awareness towards Credit Default Swaps. The analysis is done for finding the awareness about the product and also for knowing its impact on corporates. The data collection from primary sources through collection of the responses of questionnaires was assembled, stored, selected and analyzed. The analysis of data is stated as under:1. Awareness about Credit Default Swaps.

Interpretation: The analysis showed that every employee of Eclerx Services limited was aware about the Credit Default Swaps. Out of the 30 employees which were surveyed, every employee was aware of CDS.

Interpretation; The survey showed that 23 employees were of the view that the cost of corporates has gone up due to high default rate. 7 of them were of the view that the cost of corporates has lowered.
