This course is a comprehensive technical description of the BSC and TCU 2G (Nortel Networks TRAU) products.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to: describe the physical and functional architecture of the BSC, TCU, describe board functions and interfaces, trace the signaling and traffic paths inside and outside the equipment, identify, with leds and display panels, the state of the BSC.
Prerequisites
This course is designed for people who need to know the functions and the architecture of the BSC and TCU 2G. Before taking this course the participant should attend the following courses: SYS: GSM System Overview, or SY1: GSM System and Products Overview.
Scope
This course applies to version 12 of the BSS.
