The Trump administration’s “Zero Tolerance” immigration policy meant families were separated, often with not enough information to bring them back together, and held at separate detention centers and processing facilities. The cruelty was the point. In the new MSNBC film “Separated,” Errol Morris and Jacob Soboroff chronicle the family separation story from beginning to end, with interviews from people working within the Trump administration to push back on the policy.

As Election Day approaches, Donald Trump’s lies have become more brazen, unhinged, and desperate.
