Mahima G., Rakesh R. and the rest of their Reality Labs team are hard at work trying to crack the code on 3D generation. Their biggest challenge? The lack of 3D training data. “There just isn’t enough 3D data available to train our models on, so we have to be very creative in our problem-solving methods. We often leverage 2D data and extract whatever 3D-rich signals we can find to train our models.
