Seiko Golden Grand Prix 2020 Tokyo set to take place at the National Stadium! Japan's Top Athletes to headline the event, with High School Athletes.
Seiko Golden Grand Prix 2020 Tokyo, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold Meeting, originally scheduled to take place on Sunday 10 May but postponed without a new date due to COVID19, is confirmed to take place at the National Stadium (Olympic Stadium), on Sunday 23 August 2020.
As a first major athletics event in Japan, the settings and operations of the Meeting will implement mitigation measures but focus to feature the athletes excited to be back in action.
Along with the top Japanese athletes, in each event, we will feature a high school athlete, whose major national high school championships and other events cancelled, to provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete with Japan's best.
Due to Travel Restrictions in place, the Meeting will only be open to athletes residing in Japan only.
The Organisation has determined that fans will not be able to attend the Meeting in person but able to see the action on TV and live streaming.
