Ultraman Trigger: Episode Z (2022)
the perfect ending for Ultraman Trigger
This is an amazing film. Unlike in the series, this film has good drama and conflict, the drama is very emotionally draining.
The CGI and combat are also very good, really pleasing to the eye. In this film Ultraman Trigger's Glitter Eternity form is very strong, unlike in the series which looks weak. The appearance of Haruki Natsukawa and Ultraman Z in this film is also very extraordinary, they are characters who are highly anticipated to appear in this film.
Evil Trigger's appearance as the main enemy in this film is also very good, he is a cruel character and he is much stronger than Trigger. What is clear is that this film is much better than the series.
Kaitô Sentai Rupanrenjâ tai Keisatsu Sentai Patorenjâ (2018)
Two teams in one series
This is a super sentai series that is unique in that there are two super sentai teams in one series fighting the same enemy. Lupinranger is a group of thieves while Patrenger is a group of police, so the two teams are also hostile to each other and compete against the main enemy in this series, namely Gangler.
I quite like the drama in this series, especially the rivalry between the two teams, especially the rivalry between Lupine Red and Pat Ichigo. I also like the story concept of this series, where Gangler uses a special tool called the Lupine collection that can give power to its owner. So to be able to defeat Gangler, you must first take a collection of lupines from him, so in this series it's not just fighting, but there is a special purpose.
Unfortunately even though both teams are the main super sentai in this series, the Lupinranger has more roles than the Patranger. Since the beginning of the series, Lupinranger is indeed more highlighted while Patranger seems to be just an ordinary character. Even though the Patranger is dealing with the Gangler leader, the Lupinranger's role is much more.
The reason for Gangler as the main enemy is also less clear. The ending of the series was also unremarkable, with the two teams still competing against each other, even though both teams had resolved their issues between them.
This series is not bad, it's just that there are still many shortcomings in this series such as the roles of the two teams, and the storyline is also not very good. The drama between the characters is also ordinary, and a little boring. Even so, this series is actually still quite good for the audience to enjoy.
Ultraman Mebius (2006)
The first Ultraman I watched
Incidentally this was the first Ultraman I watched when I was a kid, and I really liked it. This series was created to celebrate 40 years of the Ultraman series, so that in this series all Showa era Ultramen are reappeared.
The Ultraman Mebius series has a good story, although the showa concept is very pronounced in this series, this series is made with a more modern story and is in accordance with the heisei era. I like the defense team in this series, GUYS, how they can overcome all differences and fight together to protect makes this series even more interesting. Plus they have really cool fighter planes and weaponry.
The main character here is Hibino Mirai, he is quite quick to adapt to human life, he is Ultraman who takes human form on earth. Fortunately his identity is kept secret by the captain of Team GUYS. He is also the one who managed to unite all the team members who initially didn't want to work together, I really like this character.
I also loved when they faced Alien Empera in the last episode, it was really a great moment.
Gekijôban Urutoraman Ôbu: Kizuna no chikara, okarishimasu! (2017)
One of the best Ultraman movies
I think this is one of the best Ultraman movies. Just like the series, this film has a simple and interesting story.
In this film not many Ultraman reappears, I think it's good so the story can focus on the main character, Ultraman Orb. The appearance of Ultraman from the previous series, namely Gingga, Victory, and X, is quite clear here, unlike in previous Ultraman films. I also really like the fight towards the end of the film, especially when Ultraman Orb turns into Orb Trinity.
What I don't like about this film is the appearance of UltraSeven towards the end of the fight, it's not clear where he came from, his appearance also only helps the final fight and makes it more crowded.
What I also don't like about this film is the main enemy named Mulna. I think the reason he's a villain is also less powerful, he's obsessed with turning all things and creatures into crystal. This makes him look less scary as the main enemy in this film.
But despite all that, this film is very good. I'm happy to be able to watch this movie.
Ben 10: Omniverse (2012)
The ending of the Ben 10 series
I understand why a lot of people are disappointed with the Ben 10 series, but that doesn't mean it's a bad series. This series is still as good as the previous three series.
Ben 10 omniverse is indeed more of a comedy, although this series still has a good story. Here Ben has more aliens, his enemies are also stronger than before, so this series can still be enjoyed.
The series sheds light on some things that were unanswered in the previous Ben 10 series, such as the reason why Ben used to let go of the omnitrix and Kevin's true past. In this series Ben also manages to control the power of Alien X, which in the previous series he could not do that. The character development here is also quite good.
Ben's character changes and aliens look bad, but I still enjoy this series.
Urutoraman Makkusu (2005)
Ultraman with Showa concept in the Heisei era
I don't understand why the Ultraman Max rating here is so low, even though Ultraman Max has a good story.
After the failure of the Ultra N project, Tsuburaya tried to reuse the Showa era Ultraman concept in the Ultraman Max series to increase the number of viewers. They apply this concept well. Ultraman Max has a simple and interesting story. The conflict, drama, comedy and suspense are well presented, the story is also easy to understand unlike the Ultraman Nexus series which is quite heavy.
What I also like about the Ultraman Max series is the reappearance of old monsters such as King Joe, Eleking, and Zetton, Max's fight with these monsters is also very good. Although this is only a trial series but Tsuburaya is quite serious in making this series, I really enjoyed watching it.
Urutoraman Ôbu (2016)
One of my favorite Ultraman
Ultraman Orb is the best phase two heisei era Ultraman series. This series has a simple and interesting story. The comedy and drama between the characters is also very good.
Another advantage of this series is that Ultraman Orb has many forms resulting from borrowing the power of other Ultramen. So Ultraman Orb was the first to introduce this ability, which was then continued by the next series, namely Ultraman Geed and Ultraman R/B.
Besides that, I like the main character, Kurenai Gai. He's a very charismatic and cool character, and that makes the series even more interesting. I also like the rivalry and strife between Gai and the main enemy in this series, Juggler, they are very opposite characters, and the rivalry of these two characters is one of the strengths of this series.
I think the weakness of this series is the character development of Gai, here the character is perfect. There are only a few episodes of Gai getting into some trouble. But despite all that, this series is already very good.
Daikaijû Batoru: Urutora Ginga Densetsu - The Movie (2009)
Ultraman Zero's first story
This film is generally good and interesting, this film has a very good CGI, yes of course because this film is the result of Tsuburaya's collaboration with Warner Bros. This film also presents a good fight, I really enjoyed it while watching this film.
Ultraman Belial as the main antagonist also looks very strong here, he was able to defeat all Ultraman in the Land of Light to get the Plasma Spark. He's a very bad character. But I think why there are some oddities that I found from this film:
1. First what I think is odd is that there are only two Ultraman guarding the prison that imprisoned Belial, these two guards were also easily defeated by the alien Zarab who used the Giga Battle Nizer weapon.
2. Second after Belial managed to escape, he was ambushed by several Ultramans including Ultraman Taro. In the end almost all of the Ultraman lost and only Taro was left. But why when fighting Belial, Taro jumped at Belial and pushed him until they fell into the Land of Light. Belial is a dangerous enemy, so Taro should have prevented Belial from entering the Land of Light
3. After entering the Land of Light, Belial was immediately attacked by many Ultramen including Ultraman Mebius, Ultraman Hikari, and the Ultra Brothers. But they all lost, which is weird why Mebius didn't join Hikari or the Ultra Brothers to become super ultra. It's true that Mebius was thrown into space, but he will be able to merge from the start of the fight.
I'm not saying this film is bad, this film is good I really enjoyed watching it. What I like most is the return of the old Actors, including actor Takeshi Tsuruno who plays Shin Asuka. It's just that next time Tsuburaya has to be more careful in compiling the storyline, so that there are no more irregularities like this.
Urutoraman Tiga (1996)
The first Ultraman of the Heisei era
In my opinion, the Ultraman Tiga series is pretty good, although the concept of the story is the same as the Showa era Ultraman series in general, namely there are members of the earth defense team who get the power of ultraman, then fight to protect the earth while hiding their identity.
But Ultraman Tiga has a better and fresher story than Ultraman of the Showa era. The CGI in this series is also better, although it's still a bit rough. Although the nature of the story is a bit stiff and lacks comedy, the story can still be enjoyed well.
The story also features some mature sides but is still suitable for children to watch, so this series is suitable for all ages. The Ultraman Tiga series also introduces a new concept, namely the ability to change forms as its basic ability. This has never existed in an Ultraman series before, and makes this series even more interesting.
Urutoraman Torigâ Nyû Jenerêshon Tiga (2021)
a series that needs a lot of improvement
Ultraman Trigger series is actually not bad, it's just that there are many shortcomings that make this series unsatisfactory. This series focuses too much on the characters Kengo, Akito, Yuna and Ignis, so that other GUTS SELECT members don't get a role in the story.
What also makes this series unsatisfactory is the main character, namely Kengo Manaka. During the series Kengo often says "Smile-Smile" at the wrong time, and seems to spoil the atmosphere. And the way Kengo says it seems disgusting, in my opinion Kengo doesn't show a mature and serious side, he only does that when he fights as Ultraman
The storyline of Ultraman Trigger in my opinion is also too fast, especially in episodes 1 and 2, apart from being too fast, the two episodes also seem to only be promotions for the sword and tools used by Ultraman Trigger. The Woods that appear also have less impact on the storyline of the episode, although not all of them. This kaiju is impressed only to increase the duration of the episode.
Besides that, the Gliter Eternity form which is said to be the strongest form, but eventually becomes weak. Seen in several episodes this form is often overwhelmed and does not provide much resistance, especially against Carmeara. So my conclusion is that the Ultraman Trigger storyline is not neat and too fast, especially in the first arc. Besides that, there are many characters that in the end only add to the duration, most of the battles only focus on the main antagonist, namely the Dark Giants Trio, while the other kaiju do not have a significant role. There are still many shortcomings in the development of the characters.
Although the storyline is not neat, but the storyline is actually still good and worth enjoying. Since the beginning of the story we have been presented with several mysteries such as the origin of Ultraman Trigger? Who are the Dark Giants? What exactly is the Eternity Core? Who is Mitsukuni Shizuma and how did he know about Ultraman? And what is Yuna's relationship with Yuzare?, besides that, we are presented with drama and conflict between the characters, especially the conflict between Kengo and the leader of the Dark Giants, Carmeara, and all of that can make the audience interested in seeing the continuation of the story in each episode.
Ultraman Trigger also has good CGI, compared to other Ultraman series, Ultraman Trigger's CGI is the best. Ultraman Trigger also makes more of the original Ultraman voice than the human voice, so this Ultraman Trigger is not as noisy as the previous Ultramars who always talk during battle.
Ultraman Trigger is also shown to change color directly, just like Ultraman from the Heisei era, especially Ultraman Tiga, so you can say Ultraman Trigger is Ultraman from the Hesei era with a more modern theme. The storyline could be better, so the audience won't be disappointed to see it.
Kamen raidâ Gaimu (2013)
one of the Kamen Rider series with the best story
I think the Kamen Rider Gaim series is very good. Although at the beginning the story was a little boring, but because of the mystery, drama, and conflict that kept coming up, it made this series even more interesting.
Actually, I feel that this series has experienced a change in the atmosphere from being cheerful to being more serious. But I see that the story of this series is quite neat, the stories in each episode are kept connected to each other, so I don't think that the change in atmosphere does not interfere with the value of the story.
What is also unique about this series is that the last enemy faced by the main character is the second Kamen Rider, something that did not exist in the previous Kamen Rider series.
Comedy, drama and conflict are also balanced and not excessive, making this series even better.
