A wonderful tribute to what love truly means. Arthur seems to be unhappy but the truth is that pain in his heart consumes him to see his wife, Marion, become ill. The perspective of being left alone makes him realize how precious the time with his wife is. She loves singing and as she joined a local community of elderly friends, she contributes to their qualification as a choir that eventually competed with other professional and very intimidating choirs. After losing his wife, Arthur's unhappiness spills over his relationship with his son but he maintains a close friendship with his grand-daughter. The biggest surprise of the movie comes at the time when Arthur realizes that the best tribute to the love of his life, Marion, is to continue what she loved doing: to sing. So, he commits to new endeavors that will bring many beautiful surprises and emotional gifts. By the end of the movie, the key to what life is all about is revealed to captured viewers.
