Maybe it's cultural. Maybe it's just not up to mark. But being it's first drag reality show, let it grow if it has mileage. One thing for sure, the pit crew is primo excellente. Girl, the pit crew here set the standard across boundaries.

I watch all the Drag Race series and I really liked Drag Race Italia. I will just give a quick summary on both, IMHO:
Season.1 of course they were just finding their footing and there were not as many Queens as I would like. I really did like the Judges, particularly Priscilla of course who is the Main Judge and Tommaso, who was the one presenting the challenges for the most part to the Queens and Chiara was also there on the panel. I really enjoyed the series and looked forward to the next season. The Queens were great and of course you fall in love with them, some more than others like any drag race series. I felt some of the costumes and challenges were not quite up to par quite yet, but after they got their footing it did get much better. I will not give any spoilers though as I am not sure when others watch it.
Season 2, got much better in terms of there were more Queens, the challenges got better (most of them). The Judges were now in their groove, but Chiara was featured a lot more in this season and she now was the one who was presenting the Queens with challenges. However, I must say, it was 100% better when Tommaso did it. I do like Chiara but I just felt that she is awkward in this setting. She does not really know the lingo/drag sayings. She tries to be, but she is not. She is not like Michelle Visage who for the most part, is a Drag Queen herself, and she knows the ballroom scene. Chiara is more of a fashion person and I just feel that when Tommaso and Priscilla do it the Queen's are better represented as is that community as a whole. This is just mho of course and the bottom line is, I am hooked and am looking forward now to Season 3. Drag Race Italia is another Winner!

Wow I think this might be the first time ever I'm
Unable to finish watching a drag race season. This is even worse than the Thailand franchise. Holland and Espana have been fantastic. The biggest issue with Italia is the editing. There is so much we don't need to see. It's a huge miss this one sadly.

This show reminds me a lot of season 2 of Drag Race US.
Some queens are unpolished but most are real and charismatic. The judges I would say are perfect and you can tell that they fully understand the assignment.
Can't wait for watch the rest of the season! :D.

Judge Panel except Tomasso spills hate calling "camionista" (truck driver) to the participants or just being hateful.
Episodes are long and boring.
Bad edition
Bad challenges
The worst graphic design I have ever saw on TV.

Let's start with Untucked: AWESOME. It was refreshing to see the queens letting it all out without restraining themselves out of fear of fans reception.
The cast seems very strong and in the sewing challenge many looks were pretty good and put together nicely.
The workroom is brilliantly designed and the main stage is fine.
They were all hilarious and the judges panel reminds of Drag Race España in terms of how it works.
I just hope they can make the edit more fluid and they must fix the lightning during the runway because it was too distracting.

There is a lot that needs to be changed for season 2. For example, the lighting of the runway, the confessionals, the weird elimination farewell, too much talking but overall good first season.

This really reminds me of the old seasons of drag race. I find the season a bit messy yes, and the editing is a bit rough. But I do think that this show has real potential, it may seem nonsensical at times but it's the way Italian TV is made. Best to remember that it's always important for gay people to be on TV.
Can't wait to see the crowing.

The blatant bullying on the show is hard to watch as a viewer. Seeing all the girls gang up on Enorma is not something that an "all inclusive" platform should be promoting. It makes me sad to see the mistreatment of such a talented queen. If production decides to eliminate Enorma next episode, I will stop watching, as it is unjust.

Production-wise it can be very rough around the edges but let's not forget this is just the first season.
The queens are always serving and they are very charismatic. The challenges have never failed and have always been entertaining. The critiques are mostly fair and so are the queens' placements for each episode. Even when a placement might seem controversial, the judges always explain their reasons behind their decisions and I think this is very important.
There's room for improvement, especially when talking about the editing and the format but this is a solid first season.
It didn't land as good as Drag Race Espana but it's nowhere near the mess of Down Under or Holland. Toxic fans should stop throwing extremely low ratings (1,2,3 stars) around only because their favourite didn't make it to the finale. The show is good.

So let's start with positives. They showcase a new culture of drag and LGBTQ+ community. We get to hear some italian music. They crowned the right queen. Now for negativas. This show needs an editor! Seriously waaaaay too long they could have had a few more queens ans episodes instead of dragging these 6 out so much. Very boring at times ans went no where.
Also the quality of the runways were a little basic and so were the categories. The judges waaaaay too many cooks in the kitchen. Made it extremely disorganised and hard to follow. Overall worst of the franchise so far.

Yes, the editing is rough, especially in the first few episodes; and the judges are stiff and unnaturally formal, in the same first few episodes; and the queens cast is quite uneven too.
But then the whole show slowly finds its own pace, or better starts moving towards it.
Priscilla, both in and out of drag, proves themselves to be a motherly/fatherly figure to the queens.
It takes a while, but the show eventually shows its identity, and it's good.

The format, judging and production were all sub-par. If the show gets renewed, I'd strongly recommend changing the judging, lighting and production teams.

Italy really needed a show like this to show the world its drag culture, with its strong traditional stamp, love for fashion, comedy and unforgettable untucked moments.
In the second season of Canada's drag race they made a point of making fun of a candidate who has a tendency of overexplaining and not being aware of how much talking is appropriate.
In the first episode of Italy's drag race, it seems the judges are all like that. They talk so much and they really aren't saying anything at all. It made watching it a drag.
Generally, they are showing everyone doing a lot of talking. But when it came to the runway, there appeared to be barely enough time to properly show the looks. During the judging, the camera zooms in on the top part (tits up), instead of showing us the entire look. This was also a weird choice.
The queen who won the first episode is quite attractive in their boy look. Other than that, this feels like the most skippable season so far.

I expected passion from Italia and I wasn't disappointed. Was there drag that didn't meet the US aesthetic and knowledge of HD, sure. But the humanity and passion of these drag queens has not been matched since S2/S5/S6 of the original drag race. I had no idea who I was allowed to have sex with and I didn't care. Can anybody say love?

Drag Race Italia is a perfect representation of what Italian drag is. I'm tired of seeing other franchises that have zero personality and are mere copies of the USA one.
Drag Race Italia always delivers authenticity and iconic queens. Furthermore, I just love Priscilla and Chiara's combo in the judging panel (get rid of the other man though... Drag is NEVER minimal).
I may not have had the same opinions on some winning choices, but that doesn't make the seasons worse! People should give Italia's Drag Race a chance!
As well, with Italia's current political situation this shows is just NECESSARY for the country. Keep doing it amazingly girls!
Love seeing this franchise all the way from Spain! Bravo Italia! Siate liberi, siate fieri e rendete pazzesca la vostra vita!

Ok being an avid fan of this show, all these spin offs are doing my head in. Espana was a surprising gem but so far Italy / Canada have failed to hit the right spot. I mean they only have over 14 seasons of drag race to learn from and they still fail. Now what's wrong with Italian counterpart??
The lack of direction and lack of a leader same as Canada. They need to assign one main host and judge and stop pussyfooting with all these extra inputs at the wrong times. They should just keep the main drag queen (Priscilla and Brooklyn) as the main show runner and all the other judges as secondary. The all inclusivity is killing the flow and the vibe.
Then we have the terrible editing in this Italia version. I really hope they go back to the editing suite and recut the next episodes asap. It's such a disservice to the effort these queens have pint in for their outfits when they cut so quickly and you can barely see anything. And they seem to be obsessed with footwear in he editing room here too. Overall this episode is meh and I hope they pick up as we go along as this is probably one the worse drag race franchisees.

From the judging to the talent of the queens. It's a season where the runway always lacks, and one of the most talented queens gets sent home unfairly. I personally can't connect with the queens and also their behavior sometimes is actually very disapointing. Wouldn't recommend it.
