The Fall Into Love 2024 lineup included the previous films His and Hers, Falling Together, The Heiress and the Handyman, and The Real West. Haunted Wedding continues to bring the romance with a new twist. This comforting movie is perfect for Halloween and spooky season.

The official synopsis of the film from the Hallmark Channel reads: “Jana and Brian’s plan to wed is in jeopardy when Angelique, a ghost in an 18th-century wedding dress, vows to stop it. The couple must work together to save their wedding from disaster.”

The couple works together as ghost hunters. The festivities are interrupted as they figure out what the ghosts want from them. Their paranormal quest takes fans on a fun ride.

Grateful Dead fans can celebrate the group’s momentous 1978 spring tour with Friend of the Devils, a massive box set out Sept. 20.

Friend of the Devils: April 1978 features eight shows the band played that month, including Pembroke Pines, Florida on April 4 and Atlanta Georgia’s Fox Theatre on April 10 and 11. The shows were originally recorded by Betty Cantor-Jackson and restored and mastered by engineer Jeffrey Norman. The Las Vegas Strip has been transformed into a massive Shakedown Street thanks to Dead & Company, who officially opened their “Dead Forever” residency at The Sphere on Thursday night.

Taking the stage of Las Vegas’ hottest new venue for the first of 24 shows, Dead & Company played a jam-packed, 19-song set delivered in two parts. After opening with “Feel Like a Stranger,” the group performed fan favorites like “Jack Straw,” “Bird Song,” and “Brown-Eyed Woman.”

Deadline reports that The Sopranos creator David Chase is set to reteam with Terence Winter for an untitled horror movie set up at New Line Cinema.

David Chase is expected to direct the movie, which he will also co-write alongside Terence Winter. The plot details are being kept under wraps, but given the Sopranos pedigree, my mind immediately leaps to Cleaver, the fictional movie within the HBO series produced by Christopher Moltisanti. While I doubt that Chase and Winter are going the slasher route, it’s still fun to imagine.

Premiering 25 years ago this January, David Chase’s crime saga The Sopranos has been a blessing and a curse for the creator. On the former side, he was behind what is still among the greatest television shows to grace the medium. On the latter, it’s been a difficult peak to live up to, the only projects he’s tackled since being his overlooked 2012 directorial debut Not Fade Away and revisiting the world in the disappointing The Many Saints of Newark, which he co-wrote and produced.

Now, Chase is finally getting back in the director’s chair for the first time in 13 years with a new feature: Deadline reports he’ll reteam with his Sopranos collaborator Terence Winter on a horror film at New Line Cinema. Chase has directing duties for the WB project, boasting a script he’ll write with Winter, marking the first time the duo have collaborated on a feature screenplay.

Everyone wants a piece of the horror pie right now, so it’s no surprise that major studios and big name players are dipping their toes into these red waters. On that note, Deadline reports today that “The Sopranos” creator David Chase is directing a horror movie!

David Chase is reteaming with “The Sopranos” producer Terence Winter on the untitled project, which is set up at New Line as part of Chase’s “first look deal at Warner Bros.”

Deadline’s report explains, “Chase plans to direct the film, in what is Chase and Winter’s first theatrical film screenplay and feature producing collaboration.”

The project has no title and no synopsis at this time. Stay tuned.

Emily Blunt is one of the most versatile and talented actors in Hollywood, who has starred in a variety of genres, from musicals to thrillers. David Chase has set his next series at FX with Hannah Fidell with Chase and Fidell attached as creators and co-writers.

The series, which is in development with a pilot commitment, is based on a previously unproduced script by “The Sopranos” director featuring a contemporary take by Fidell.

Fidell is set to direct the pilot with FX Productions producing the pilot. Chase, Fidell and Chase Films’ Nicole Lambert will serve as executive producers.

Chase and A Teacher creator Hannah Fidell are co-writing and co-creating a drama for the Disney-owned outlet. Details are being kept quiet, but it’s based on a previously unproduced script of Chase’s, with a contemporary take by Fidell.

FX Productions is behind the project, which has a pilot commitment. Fidell will also direct; Chase, Fidell and Chase Films’ Nicole Lambert are executive producing.

The project landing at FX is something of a surprise considering Chase signed a five-year, first-look TV and film deal with Warner Bros. Discovery in October 2021, as his Sopranos prequel film The Many Saints of Newark was being released.

Much like its parent show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel" relied heavily on metaphor. However, while "Buffy" dealt with the high school experience, only truly going dark in its later seasons, "Angel" always sought to tell more adult-oriented stories. The spin-off never quite reached the same heights of the original, but it came pretty damn close, and there are certain aspects of the series that were even stronger. For one, just about every character who made the jump from "Buffy" to "Angel" was the better for it. Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), Wesley (Alexis Denisof), Faith (Eliza Dushku), and Darla (Julie Benz) all went from being relatively one-dimensional, to becoming some of the best characters in the entire Buffyverse. "The Sopranos" isn't the first gangster show on television and it won't be the last, but it certainly made the biggest splash. Over six sprawling seasons from 1999 to 2007, David Chase's HBO series told the story of his own warped family dynamic, infused into a mobster's mid-life crisis. A decade and a half after its finale, the show has become one of the most celebrated of all time.

In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Chase talked about the show and the lessons that came of it. The "Not Fade Away" director was no stranger to writing for episodic tv; prior credits include "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" and private eye series "The Rockford Files." It was on these shows that Chase learned the boundaries of network television writing – "Rockford" taught that he could make his hero do all sorts of awful acts as long as he's competent at what he does.

Fresh from the release of The Many Saints of Newark, The Sopranos prequel feature, David Chase has signed a five-year, first-look deal with WarnerMedia.

The deal covers film and TV and will see Chase develop content for HBO, HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures Group.

It comes as the movie, which stars Alessandro Nivola as Dickie Moltisanti and James Gandolfini’s son Michael Gandolfini as a young Tony Soprano, is released today, October 1, in theaters and via HBO Max.

In addition to The Many Saints of Newark and The Sopranos, which launched on HBO in 1999 and is widely considered one of the greatest television series of all time, Chase directed rock n roll feature Not Fade Away, which came out in 2012. Nicole Lambert is the EVP of Chase Films and producer of The Many Saints of Newark alongside Chase.

Such was the case for Steven Van Zandt, the E Street Band guitarist who starred as Silvio Dante in the Emmy-winning HBO mafia drama. “The Sopranos” prequel movie, “The Many Saints of Newark,” includes a younger iteration of Silvio played by “First Cow” actor John Magaro. Van Zandt recently told SiriusXM (via THR) that creator David Chase showed early cuts of the movie to him and asked for feedback.

Hulu’s list of new releases for June 2021 is highlighted by a host of useful library titles and one fascinating original film.

The original film in question is the one that lends its delightful photo of Pierce Brosnan delivering a baby to this post. False Positive stars and was written by Ilana Glazer (Broad City). It sounds like a really fun, creepy time with a synopsis that reads: “After months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Lucy (Glazer) and Adrian (Justin Theroux) finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan). But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm, and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him, and her own “birth story.” Cool!

Hulu’s other original offerings aren’t too inspiring this month. Only Love, Victor season 2 on June 11 moves the needle much.

Exclusive: Alan Taylor is swapping 1970s New Jersey for 1980s California for his next project.

The director, whose The Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark is set for a September release, is to helm a TV adaptation of fantasy novel Stone Junction.

Taylor knows the fantasy world well, having directed numerous episodes of Game of Thrones and Thor: The Dark World.

The adaptation is being produced by Peter Luo’s Starlight Media, which backed Crazy Rich Asians and Midway, and written by The Man in the High Castle and Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams writers Kalen Egan and Travis Sentell. Taylor, Luo, and Brandan Dennehy will produce.

Playwright Lindsey Ferrentino is adapting her stage show “Amy and the Orphans” into a feature film at Netflix.

Ferrentino will write and direct the movie, marking her feature directorial debut. Aggregate Films is producing “Amy and the Orphans.”

The story follows estranged siblings Maggie and Jake, who are adults by the time their elderly father dies, but still wish a “grown up” could sort it out. Their biggest worry is determining how to break the bad news to their sister Amy, a person with Down syndrome who has lived in a state home for years. Over a Thanksgiving weekend, in which they travel to Long Island, the three siblings find out just how much they don’t know about their family — and each other.

Rebecca Luker, a three-time Tony Award nominee and one of Broadway’s most acclaimed and popular musical actresses, died today at a New York City hospital following a nearly yearlong battle with Als, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. She was 59.

Her death was confirmed to The New York Times by her agent Sarah Fargo. Luker was married to Broadway actor Danny Burstein (Moulin Rouge!).

The actress announced in February that she’d been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, tweeting: “Hello friends. I have some tough news. Late last year I was diagnosed with Als. I have the best medical care in the world and the greatest support. My dear husband Danny has been an angel. I will get well. In the meantime, we fight and go forward. Keep us in your thoughts.”

“Driving Miss Daisy” director Bruce Beresford is directing a biopic on the life of Buddy Holly called “Clear Lake,” and the independent film has cast Ruairi O’Connor, best known for his role in the Starz miniseries “The Spanish Princess,” to star as the rock ‘n’ roll icon.

“Clear Lake” tells the story of how Buddy Holly and other famous musicians of the late 1950s gave birth to rock ‘n’ roll while changing the trajectory of civil rights in America, all leading up to “The Day The Music Died,” when Holly died in a plane crash outside Clear Lake, Iowa on February 3, 1959, along with Ritchie Valens, J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and pilot Roger Peterson.

Rick French (“Not Without Hope”) is producing for Prix Productions along with Stuart Benjamin of Stuart Benjamin Productions.

Irish actor Ruairi O’Connor will play rock ‘n’ roll icon Buddy Holly in the biopic “Clear Lake” with a tentative production start date set for the spring.

O’Connor, who stars as a young King Henry VIII in the Starz miniseries “The Spanish Princess,” was selected following a six-month search by the producers and casting directors at Presser/Well Casting to find the right actor who both resembled Holly and could handle vocals and instrumentation on classic songs such as “Everyday,” “That’ll Be the Day” and “Not Fade Away.”

The BMG-backed “Clear Lake” will helmed by Bruce Beresford, who received Oscar nominations for the “Breaker Morant” script and for directing “Tender Mercies.” He also directed “Driving Miss Daisy,” which won the Academy Award for best picture.
