Fard Muhammad was born in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his early life, he had a strong interest in video games, comedy, broadcasting, and computer graphics. He graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in computer science and DePaul University in 2008 with a master's degree in computer graphics and animation.
In 2011, Fard caught the acting and performance bug after taking improvisation classes in the Chicago suburbs and performing in local sketch comedy shows. He also pursued stand-up comedy. Starting in 2013, he began his collaboration with the "Nostalgia Critic" crew from Channel Awesome, where he would later create the intro sequences for the Critic series. He has also worked with current and former Channel Awesome collaborators on a multitude of projects.
In 2018, he started using his vocal talents as the opening/closing announcer for the "Dennis Miller Option" podcast. In 2020, he was the opening announcer for the live-streamed shows "IsoLate Night with Scott Rogowsky" and Ian Abramson's "Saturday Night Quarantine". In January 2022, he hosted an unofficial edition of the mobile game "HQ Trivia", essentially becoming the last host of the app.
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and zero cats.
