Born in the former Soviet Union in 1957, Mr. Blavatnik attended Moscow State University before emigrating with his family to the U.S. in 1978. He earned a Master's degree in computer science from Columbia University in 1981, became a U.S. citizen in 1984, and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1989.
