Cesar Jaime hails from the great city of Chicago,IL. He is an actor
with a strong focus and dedication to the art of Improvisation and
improvisational theater.
Like many people who embark on this journey, Cesar first got the "acting bug" in high school thanks to the kind and wonderful inspiration of his drama and English teacher, Marsha Brody.
He went on to try to pursue a theater career by enrolling at Chicago's Columbia college. He took his first Improv class at Columbia with the late Martin DeMaat, a wonderful and kind person that helped set the wheels in motion for his new-found passion in life.
Marty introduced Cesar to the Second City Theater and encouraged him to take classes there. Cesar followed his teacher's advice and has been on a wonderful journey ever since that includes having studied at the world-famous iO Theater. At iO (formerly "ImprovOlympic"), he has had the chance, pleasure, and honor to study, befriend, and perform with many talented people that are great staples in the improv community in Chicago and around the world, not to mention the entertainment industry as well.
One of these people was the late great, Del Close. Del directed and mentored Cesar and eventually changed the way he viewed the art of Improvisation.
Cesar teaches and performs weekly improvisational shows at Chicago's iO Theater most notably on Monday nights in one of Chicago's favorite shows, "The Armando Diaz Theatrical Experience & Hootenany".
