Zac Efron is already back in leading man shape following a health scare.
The actor assured fans he’s in good health after a brief hospitalization in Spain, sharing a shirtless photo of himself to his Instagram Story on Sunday as he lifted weights on an exercise ball under the summer sun.
“Happy and healthy,” wrote Efron with the photo. “Thanks for the well wishes.”
He was previously taken to a hospital Friday night after what his rep called a “minor swimming incident,” according to TMZ, in which the actor was found in the pool of a villa in Ibiza and pulled him out of the water. It’s unclear what caused the distress, but Efron was taken to the hospital as a “precautionary measure” and released the next morning.

“Happy and healthy,” Efron wrote. “Thanks for the well wishes.”
The actor had a “minor swimming incident” on Friday night while using the pool at a villa in Ibiza, a representative for Efron confirmed to People.
Efron was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure and was released on Saturday morning. “He is fine,” the rep told People.

Rumors first surfaced earlier this month that Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani would be portraying Booster Gold in the Dcu's upcoming DC Studios/Max Booster Gold series and a very telling sign that this rumor was indeed true was the fact that DC Studios co-chair James Gunn did not take to X/Twitter or Threads to debunk it.
Now, The Cosmic Circus is adding that they've spoken to Blue Beetle star Xolo Maridueña (who is one of the few actors making the jump from the Dceu to the Dcu), and he's confirmed that Kumail Nanjiani will indeed portray Booster Gold.

What could possibly be better than Zac Efron? It sounds like a trick question, we know. Surely there's no beating the American acting heartthrob, right? Well, how about two Zac Efrons? Because that's exactly what we'll be getting in Observe & Report writer-director Jody Hill's Famous. A celebrity doppelgänger thriller based on Blake Crouch's same-named Nyt bestseller, Hill's movie has, per Deadline's reporting, landed distribution via A24, teeing up a reunion between Efron and the studio behind his wrestling drama The Iron Claw.
Michael Sagol, Sam Esmail, and Chad Hamilton are all aboard to produce the picture, which will see Efron star as Hollywood hunk James Jansen and overeager fan Lance Dunkquist, who just so happen to both look exactly alike. However, whilst the prospect of two Efrons gadding about sounds like a dream come true on paper, in the film — as in Crouch's book — the bigger picture is a little less rosy.

A new rumor doing the rounds online is claiming that the planned DC Studios/Max Booster Gold series has found its lead, and the titular time-hopping hero will be played by an actor who made his MCU debut just three years ago.
According to Nexus Point News, Kumail Nanjiani - who played Kingo in Marvel Studios' Eternals - has been cast as Michael John Carter in the upcoming Dcu show.
How much stock should we put in this? Well, the source has been reliable in the past and seems very confident in their story, so we'd say there might well be something to it.
If it is accurate, expect the trades or James Gunn to confirm fairly soon.
Nexus Point News previously reported that Gunn and Peter Safran had tapped Danny McBride, John Carcieri and Jeff Fradley, the creative team behind the HBO Max Original series The Righteous Gemstones, to work on the show.

Amid persistent rumors that the Booster Gold Max series is in the process of assembling its creative team, we're now hearing that the project has enlisted a trio of righteous writers to work on the scripts.
According to Nexus Point News, James Gunn and Peter Safran have tapped Danny McBride, John Carcieri and Jeff Fradley, the creative team behind the HBO Max Original series The Righteous Gemstones, to work on the show.
If accurate, this may lend some credence to a previous rumor that the team's frequent collaborator Jody Hill was hired as director/showrunner.
Gunn recently shot down a report that production was set to commence in July, but he did reveal that "most" of the Dcu-based shows currently in the pipeline have set their creative teams.

We know that a Booster Gold Max series is in the very early staged of development, but a recent rumor claimed that the project might be quite a bit further along than we realized.
According to the report, filming is scheduled for July, and the lead role has been cast - though there was no mention of which actor supposedly landed the part. Considering it's pretty much been radio silence on the show since it was first announced, this update seemed a little shaky, and DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn has now debunked the rumor.

DC Studios' "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters" slate left us with plenty to be excited about, but news of a Booster Gold TV series coming to Max was arguably among James Gunn's most thrilling announcements.
Fans have been waiting a long time to see the time-travelling superhero in live-action, and while Donald Faison briefly showed up in what would become Legends of Tomorrow's series finale following its cancellation, the character has yet to be given the chance to shine on screen (Eric Martsolf briefly played him in Smallville).
That will soon change, and all signs point to Xolo Maridueña's Blue Beetle joining the time-travelling superhero.
A recent Production List update suggested Booster Gold will start shooting in July. Now, scooper @MyTimeToShineH has chimed in, claiming that is indeed the case. Even more exciting, though, is the fact the character has supposedly been cast in the Dcu!

Walton Goggins has no limitations whatsoever when it comes to his range and skill in film and television. With boundless untapped energy serving as a cushion, the Fallout actor truly gives back to society by tackling multi-colored projects spanning various genres. One such project, however, came dangerously close to insulting the incredible talent and hard work of his director and co-stars in the HBO satire, Vice Principals. And Goggins refused to take such an insult lying down.

James Gunn is currently on a tight and hectic schedule working on both Superman and Peacemaker Season 2. With both hands full and timetable loaded, fans have felt deeply concerned about the filmmaker and the fate of the two projects.
John Cena in Peacemaker

Going to the theater is different from it used to be. Back in my day, going to the cinema meant purchasing an overpriced ticket and concessions, then experiencing a film alongside a group of strangers in silence with occasional outbursts of laughter or surprise. Today, boutique theaters double as restaurants for outrageously priced pub-style food, with beer, wine, and cocktails to get you sauced for the evening’s feature presentation. Some people enjoy this kind of atmosphere. However, Danny McBride thinks serving food and drinks in cinemas is absurd, and he has an idea about improving the theater-going experience – marijuana!
Speaking with GQ magazine, Danny McBride said, “I hate it, I can’t stand it,” about serving dinner and drinks in the middle of a movie. “I also don’t think it makes sense to combine booze with movies. You’re going to have to piss. Doesn’t alcohol make...

Danny McBride has a bone to pick with movie theaters. With the popularization of theaters that now serve dinner and drinks in the middle of a movie, the “Eastbound & Down” and “Pineapple Express” comedian recently told GQ magazine that he is staunchly against the trend.
“I hate it, I can’t stand it,” McBride said while addressing the theaters-that-serves-dinner trend. “I also don’t think it makes sense to combine booze with movies. You’re going to have to piss. Doesn’t alcohol make you want to get up and get loose? You don’t want to sit there, drink beer, and just be quiet. I would have no interest in going to see a movie and just pounding IPAs. Just fucking falling asleep.”
A better idea, according to McBride, would-be movie theaters that offer marijuana and allow patrons to smoke pot. Movies and weed “go together fucking perfectly,” he said.

The series chronicles, with the assistance of footage shot by Limpman-Stern, the duo’s time working in the telemarketing industry during the early 2000s, when Limpman-Stern was a 14 year-old high school dropout and Pespas was a top salesman dealing with addiction issues. The two worked for a company that advertised itself as raising money for police and firefighter charities, but in reality pocketed most of the money.

Nicolas Cage will pick up this year’s Cheval Noir Career Achievement Award at Fantasia.
