Producer and Line Producer based in London and owner of a production service business in Brazil with a base in Rio de Janeiro.
Jan started as a script reader whose first job in the industry landed him inside the office of London's most formidable talent agent at ICM. From there, Jan went to head development at HandMade Films and was involved in the production of 9 feature films in 5 years, developing Guy Ritchie's first feature when the HMF's parent company went bankrupt and Lock, Stock's deal was terminated during post-production.
After heading up feature film development at TalkBack Productions under a deal with Disney before the company was bought by Freemantle, Jan produced Bafta-nominated short films and developed feature films as an independent.
With his Brazilian wife, they took their boys to live in Rio where Jan brought high end commercials productions from around the world for Internationally recognised brands. His company worked on films such as Bafta-winning Senna, TV productions such as The South Bank show and Chiwetel Ejiofor's Rob Peace to name a few.
The family returned to the UK where Jan was offered the Head of Production job at Stolen Picture, a HETV company owned by Sony, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Producing the series Truth Seekers for Amazon Prime, Out of Her Mind for BBC2 and Black Cab for Shudder.
