Emily Rice(I)

Emily Rice was raised in Seattle watching foreign films on rainy days and graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a B.A. in Business. She came to Los Angeles in 1986 to work in Film & TV. She was hired immediately by Marc Fischer at Cannon Films as his assistant, and under his mentor-ship went on to become the Production Accountant on several feature films at Cannon Films. She left Cannon to be a Freelance Production Accountant on a TV Series in Europe, and spent 10 years working in TV & Film before starting a thriving business, Rice Gorton Pictures, with her husband Jack Gorton in 2001. Jack is a Cinematographer, Photographer, Director & Graphic Designer who had an innovative Advertising Agency in Hollywood in the 1980s. He now develops & produces projects for TV, is a Talent Manager and Image Maker. Emily's side of the business focuses on Post Production Accounting, and she has also keyed several projects from her office over the years from start-to-finish. She manages a Production Accounting site that lists job opportunities for all levels of Production Accountants & Production Finance people in North America.
