Bluebeam

I work in various fields in management and widely use Bluebeam software.  In my personal google account Bluebeam was integrated in google drive and I could edit files directly in google drive using Bluebeam application.  It was glorious.  I did not need to download the file to my computer and could just edit it directly in google drive.

Later I opened Google Workspace account and feature of working with Bluebeam directly in google drive is no longer available.  This complicated my work efficiency editing documents because now I have to download file to my computer, edit file using Bluebeam and then upload file again to google drive.  Keep in mind I work with hundreds of PDF files per day and Bluebeam and google workspace not collaborating together really slows my review process and slows down my business process.  Google team please fix this issue, be the best you can be please!

You might want to post this to the Feature Ideas section here. Doing so will allow it to be upvoted by others and possibly considered as a future feature enhancement.

If you do not already have access, you need to request it first. See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Feature-Ideas-FAQ#:~:text=How%... for how to do that.

Once you have access, go to https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/gh-p/workspace-ideas-group . There, you can upvote and comment on any similar idea, or post a new idea.

Are you saying that Bluebeam could access your Drive files directly in the cloud on your personal account but not on a Workspace account? This wasn't done using Drive for Desktop where the files are synced/edited on the local filesystem?

Yes Bluebeam was accessing files directly in cloud drive, I was able to edit file in Bluebeam and once saved, it saves file directly in cloud drive folder where original file was originally accessed.  This was great since I did not need to download and upload the file manually.  Now I have to download the file before I can edit and once saved, I have to upload file manually.

Did you go through the integration process within Bluebeam for your new Workspace account?

Hello,  has this issue been resolved? I have a 11th Edition Microsoft Surface Pro that will not allow Google Drive Desktop to be installed. I would prefer to have Bluebeam files opened in the Google Drive Cloud and saved back in the same location. To make changes to a PDF using Bluebeam, I currently have to download  the PDF files, make the changes, and then upload it back into the cloud. This is a real time suck.

I am having this exact same issue.  I swapped computers and now I can no longer open google drive files directly in bluebeam.  Were you ever able to resolve this?
