The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia, #2)
by

Lucy hugs Aslan in the Forest by CHYsheryl
One of the most beautiful books I've ever read, love every part of it! The characters, the setting, a magical portal, awesome adventures were all something for unforgettable, magical story. I hold so much love for Narnia and the Pevensie family, the magic of these stories never ends - this beautiful book, along with a new spring sun, once again lit the room, as well as my heart, spreading the happiness in my soul and mind.
Reading this feels like coming home, the lamp-post light always is a welcoming glow leading to a close friend :)

I initially read the series in translation (makes me happy it was beautifully done!) and so far only re-read several times this one and the two other my favorites in original. I'm thinking of re-reading The Last Battle next! But been meaning to re-read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe again after finishing The Magician's Nephew :) That's how I experienced this series for the first time - in a chronological order! 🦁🥰📚

When I was a kid and first read them, we started with this one. Now 'The Magician's Nephew' is first in line. I can see why it makes sense. Love them in any order! So glad you also are inspired by this series, Cam.🥰🦁📚
Darla wrote: "Wonderful review, Cam. I cannot see a lamp-post in real life without thinking of this one!Thank you so much, dear friend! I wanted to say something beautiful about Lucy - my favorite Pevensie - and about Mr Tumnus, likely, my favorite Narnian, but still, after so many rereads, couldn't find right words...
Me too, Darla! My favourite lamp-post ever! :) I

Actually, I think the right words did come, which made this so exquisite! Thank you too for choosing to follow me! I appreciate it! 🙂
Thank you so much again, Karen! 🩷 Yesterday I thought about it - what I actually wanted to include in my review on the favorite book... And the answer did come - a little story with Lucy, Mr Tumnus and the other wonderful Narnia characters! 🙂🙃And I am happy to follow you, Karen! 🙂
Donne wrote: "You have such lovely reviews, Cam!"🩷 Thank you so much, Donne! 🩷 It really means a lot to me! You inspired me to continue with my story about Lucy, Mr. Tumnus and the Beaver family 🥰
That was a beautiful review and you probably stated the way most of us feel reading it, but couldn’t quite put into words. Well done.
Lynn wrote: "That was a beautiful review and you probably stated the way most of us feel reading it, but couldn’t quite put into words. Well done."Thank you so much, Lynn! 🩷 I was writing down a sentence or two at a time that were showing, as I thought, the embodiment of my feelings toward this book that makes me feel all the emotions, the beauty of this world and beyond 🙂.
What a magical book that astounds with every turning page! Thanks Cam for a beautifully worded review ❤️📚⭐💎
Zaynab wrote: "What a magical book that astounds with every turning page! Thanks Cam for a beautifully worded review ❤️📚⭐💎"This magical story has opened the door to more magic there is in every single day and brought some of that wonder and joy to my day-to-day. The Narnian world has helped me, just like a friend would 💗. Makes me happy you enjoyed my feelings towards this beautiful book, Zaynab! 🩷
Beautiful review, Cam! I didn’t know much about C.S Lewis but I started reading his books on Christianity and this series is faith based so i want to reread #1 now that I know more. This review made my day. Thanks
The movie was one of my childhood favorite movies. It’s just so magical and it honestly made me think that maybe my wardrobe could be a portal to Narnia as well. Lol good old times ☺️
Tina wrote: "Another fantastic winner! Excellent review 🌟💖"Thank you so much, Tina! 🩷 Re-reading this beautiful story is like talking to a dear friend - through the words that are so familiar to me, I see, learn and gain something new on each visit. A hug of a book! Love it so! 💓
Karina wrote: "Beautiful review, Cam! I didn’t know much about C.S Lewis but I started reading his books on Christianity and this series is faith based so i want to reread #1 now that I know more. This review mad..."Thank you so much, Karina! 🩷 These are my most favourite books ever and I always wanted to read C. S. Lewis's other creations, too. Have you read Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan Henry? In a way it explains the origins of how The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe came to be. Loved it and always wanted to reread it during the Christmas season. Your comment made my day, too, Karina 🙂. Hope you enjoy rereading this one or The Magician's Nephew, #1 in a chronological order - I read the books this way and only some time ago learned about a publication order :)
Reynita wrote: "The movie was one of my childhood favorite movies. It’s just so magical and it honestly made me think that maybe my wardrobe could be a portal to Narnia as well. Lol good old times ☺️"Yes, I remember seeing portals here and there as a kid :) And honestly a wardrobe one was my favourite! I adore the movie - the cast, in my personal opinion, was great. An actress playing Susan was the most similar to how she was drawn by Pauline Baynes, my favourite illustrator for the world of Narnia. 🩷
Jonathan wrote: "Loved this book and named my Bloohound, Aslan, aka Ozzie as a result"What a good name for a brave dog! I thought that my beautiful cat has a strange short name Basya, which is short for Vasilisa :) I learned a lot from Aslan. These books always a sunbeam, especially when I need it :)
Margo wrote: "gorgeous review, Cam! ❤️"Thank you so much, Margo! 🩷 I love the beginning of things in The Magician's Nephew and the Wood Between the Worlds will always be one of my fictional safe spaces. Like the lamp-post in here will - it really seems like a beacon to me when one is lost. These two stories are my favorite adventures of the books in the sense of just feeling happy and safe at the end 💗.
