Scate Moor Lane crossing the Harrogate Line. This crossing is normally kept closed, opening only to allow vehicles to pass, and the crossing keeper has opened the crossing to allow a car and two bicycles to pass. The operation of this crossing can be seen in this video: LinkExternal link
Harrogate Line

The Harrogate Line is a rail line through parts of North Yorkshire and the West Yorkshire Metro area connecting Leeds to York by way of Harrogate and Knaresborough. The service is operated by Northern Rail, with a few additional workings by East Coast. Metro's bus and rail MetroCard ticket is available for journeys between Leeds and Harrogate. The line opened in 1848.
