A view of Birmingham's Town Hall Symphony Hall taken from Paradise Street near its junction with Paradise Circus Queensway. The Town Hall Symphony Hall was opened on 7th October 1834 - built to a design by Joseph Hansom and Edward Welch based on the Temple of Castor and Pollux in Rome. After an extensive renovation programme this Grade 1 listed building reopened on 4th October 2007. It has hosted a series of talks by Charles Dickens and in more recent years by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Time photo taken 12.07 pm BST (British Summer Time).
