Yardley Wood Bus Garage (3)
This photo shows the bus garage in Yardley Wood Road B14 4BN with the wording "BIRMINGHAM CITY TRANSPORT" above its entrance, although it is now owned by National Express West Midlands as indicated by the notice above that wording. The cream and navy blue bus in front of it is 2222 (JOJ 222) a 1950 Leyland bus with Park Royal fifty-four seater bodywork formerly operated by Birmingham City Transport. To its right is 2957 (D957 NDA) a MCW Metrobus with MCW seventy-
seater bodywork. It was one of fifty in the blue Timesaver livery that were bought by West Midlands Travel in 1986 for Limited Stop services in the West Midlands. Some preserved buses can just be seen through the garage entrance where an Open Day was being held.
