SP9111 : The Unofficial Dog Walking Path on Goldfield, Tring
taken 7 years ago, near to Tring, Hertfordshire, England

See an earlier view from the other end of the track SP9111 : The Dog-walking Area, Goldfield, Tring
The path cutting across the picture in the immediate foreground is the Tring to Drayton Beauchamp footpath
This is an ancient footpath that originally ran in a virtually straight line from the centre of Tring across open fields towards Drayton Beauchamp.
The Tring end, in Hertfordshire, reference number TT 48, is now part of the town and parts have been diverted in housing estates or along roads. In 2015 the last section in Tring ran across Sallery's field but will be rerouted when planned development takes place in this area.
The Buckinghamshire part passes Beeches Farm and Broadview Farm Farm, Farm. It is not clear whether, before the canal was built in 1797, it went directly to Drayton Beauchamp church or past Upper Farm to the village.
