My flower book (Fitter, Fitter and Blamey 2003) says that hawkbits, hawksbeards and hawkweeds form 'the core of the problem' when it comes to identifying dandelion-like flowers. They are not joking! Compare this with NJ3166 : Another Hawkish Flower and NJ3166 : Yet Another Hawkish Flower.
