The lack of paths and the vertically foliated nature of the rocks (here the Ardalanish Striped formation of the Assapol Group of Moine series metasedimetary rocks) makes walking along the south coast of the Ross of Mull from Uisken quite challenging, so all these attractive beaches are most easily reached by boat. There are lots of coves, so you can pretty much have one to yourself - the folk in this RIB had clearly decided that a beach with a man and a dog was already too busy and were heading off to look for the next.
