Low tide in Munlochy Bay with mostly mud exposed. Fields and woods surround Bay Farm in the foreground. Beyond, a yellow rapefield at the head of Munlochy Bay demarcates the edge of the grounds of the photographer's home at Marowan, Munlochy. Taken from the Inverness-bound Loganair flight from Sumburgh (Shetland) via Kirkwall (Orkney) as it banked in its approach to Inverness Airport.

The mountains of the West Highlands are visible on the skyline.
