SK1854 : Telephone Exchange and Red Telephone Box, Parwich

taken 11 years ago, near to Parwich, Derbyshire, England

Telephone Exchange and Red Telephone Box, Parwich
Telephone Exchange and Red Telephone Box, Parwich
Situated in the centre of the village, this TE with a K6 telephone box is a reminder of the time when the GPO ran both the postal and telephone services. Such TEs with red telephone boxes are still fortunately a common sight these days in our villages and hamlets. A yellow grit salt bin can be seen in front of the TE whilst a signpost in front of the telephone box points the direction to Alsop en Le Dale. The code for this TE is EMPARWI.
