The Eel weir showing the effect of the recent heavy rain and melted snow. The weir is just about visible. The one J3267 : The Eel Weir, Edenderry (3) (April 2008) shows the Lagan at a very low level. The Eel Weir, on the River Lagan, was used to power Edenderry Mill (John Shaw Brown’s St Ellen Works). Now long-disused, it had an undershot waterwheel.
