This was set up in the 1980s as a showcase for horned Hereford Cattle. The breed was in severe decline then and most cattle were polled through crossing with Sussex cattle. Times have changed for the better and there was a good entry this year. You won't see horns anymore, the cattle are dehorned as calves (and still look strange to my older eyes - but it is good having one less hazard to dodge when handling them).

The class is a pair of calves.
