Episcopal Church at Portnacroish
The Episcopal church of St.Cross is on the site where the 'Bloody Battle of Stalc', probably from Stalcaire, (Stalker) was fought in 1468. Here Dougal Stewart of Appin defeated a MacDougall,Campbell and MacFarlane alliance. They had conspired to murder his father at his second marriage in 1463.
The church was built in 1809 and restored in 1898.
