Convoys Wharf :: TQ3778

Convoys Wharf in Deptford was one of the largest industrial sites it the area, at approximately 45 hectares. It was News International’s paper importing site, occupying about half of the Thames riverside within Lewisham Borough. It was disused by 2002 when redevelopment of the site was first proposed.

By 2010 permission had been given for a major development including new apartments, employment space, cultural and creative facilities, primary school and some remaining riverside wharf facilities. This was one of the last sites on the riverside between Central London and Greenwich to be redeveloped from industrial use.
