The grounds surrounding the big house are extensive and, even on a relatively busy day it is quite possible to wander about with seeing too many people. Nice to see one or two though.

Some of the windows on this facade are false. Visitors approached the house along the drive and almost their first sight of the house would be this impressive symmetrical facade; but the rooms were not laid out to look to the west
