Lichen-covered rock on Perseverance Hill
Looking northwards towards the Worcestershire Beacon. Many of the granite rock outcrops here are yellow with lichen; a clear indicator of the good air quality enjoyed by the Malverns.

Bedeguar Gall
This little growth on a dog rose next to the road caught my eye and it turns out to be the gall of the wasp Diplolepis Rosae. The gall it produces is either called a Bedeguar Gall or a Robin's pincushion and is specific to this plant.... (more)
