Scarah Quarry Wood
Landscaped in the 19thC with some lovely beech trees, only in the winter time is the quarry evident.
The quarry extracted Addlethorpe Grit, a Carboniferous Sandstone, mostly for building Ripley Park wall, farm buildings and the Scarah Mill.
