NU0248 : Coastal road heading south (Northumberland Coast Path)
(Description is missing)
The works were a repair to an embankment carrying the East Coast Main Line. A week earlier part of the embankment collapsed during flash flooding. There was also flooding at Spittal. The railway was closed for over a day followed by a period of single track working.
