The Myth

Persephone was a beautiful and sweet young Goddess. Demeter, her mother, and Goddess of the Harvest, was incredibly protective of her, like mothers often are.

Hades, God of Wealth and King of the Underworld, was in search of a wife. He saw Persephone and immediately fell in love with her. After asking permission from Persephone’s father, Zeus, they made a plan for Hades to kidnap Persephone and marry her.
